David is originally from Los Angeles, CA and moved to Verdigre, NE in 1980. David is a graduate of Verdigre High School and considers Verdigre his hometown.
He pursued a Bachelors in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic training from Wayne State College graduating in 1991. Shortly graduating, he moved to Tucson, AZ where he worked at the Fitness and Health Institute of Tucson, AZ. It was during his experiences with cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab, and the athletic performance center he discovered the world of Physical Therapy. Therefore, he moved back to Nebraska and was accepted into the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Physical Therapy program in 1993 and graduated from UNMC in 1996.
At this time, he met Bill Reynolds, PT and Bob Meuret, PT and together they developed the idea of Overland Rehab Services. There vision for ORS was a physical therapy company that provides PT services to small communities in Northeast Nebraska with an emphasis of quality and consistency provided by local therapists.
Dave’s education was further advanced by obtaining a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification and a McKenzie certification, which focuses on cervical and lumbar spine rehab. Dave primarily provides services at our Creighton, Yankton, and Santee locations.
He currently resides in Yankton SD with his wife Jacki and two daughters Cassondra and Kendall who are both currently enrolled in college.
